SYNONYMS

citram — wonderful; bata — oh; etat — this; ekena — with one; vapushā — form; yugapat — simultaneously; prithak — separately; griheshuin the houses; dvi-ashta-sāhasram — sixteen thousand; striyah — all the queens; ekah — the one Śrī Krishna; udāvahat — married.

TRANSLATION

"It is astounding that Lord Śrī Krishna, who is one without a second, expanded Himself in sixteen thousand similar forms to marry sixteen thousand queens in their respective homes."

PURPORT

This verse is from Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam (10.69.2).
