nānā mantra paḍena ācārya, nā haya cetana

ācāryera duḥkhe vaiṣṇava karena krandana

SYNONYMS

nānā — various; mantra — hymns; paḍena — chants; ācāryaAdvaita Ācārya; — not; haya — became; cetana — conscious; ācāryera — of Advaita Ācārya; duḥkhein unhappiness; vaiṣṇava — all the Vaiṣṇavas; karenado; krandana — cry.

TRANSLATION

Advaita Ācārya chanted various mantras, but Gopāla did not come to consciousness. Thus all the Vaiṣṇavas present cried in sorrow at His plight.
