sālokya-sārshti-sārūpya-

sāmīpyaikatvam apy uta

dīyamānam na grihnanti

vinā mat-sevanam janāh

SYNONYMS

sālokya — being on the same planet as Me; sārshti — having opulence equal to Mine; sārūpya — having the same form as Me; sāmīpya — having direct association with Me; ekatvam — oneness with Me; api — even; uta — or; dīyamānam — being given; na — not; grihnanti — accept; vinā — without; mat-sevanam — My service; janāh — the devotees.

TRANSLATION

"My devotees do not accept sālokya, sārshti, sārūpya, sāmīpya or oneness with Me — even if I offer these liberations — in preference to serving Me."

PURPORT

These three verses from Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam (3.29.11-13) were spoken by Lord Krishna in the form of Kapiladeva.
