prayojanam cāvatāre
SYNONYMS
mańgala-ācaranam — invoking auspiciousness; krishna-caitanya — of Lord Krishna Caitanya Mahāprabhu; tattva-lakshanam — symptoms of the truth; prayojanam — necessity; ca — also; avatāre — in the matter of His incarnation; śloka — verses; shatkaih — by six; nirūpitam — ascertained.
TRANSLATION
Thus the auspicious invocation, the essential nature of the truth of Lord Caitanya, and the need for His appearance have been set forth in six verses.
