ei vāńchā yaiche krishna-prākatya-kārana
asura-samhāra — ānushańga prayojana
ei mata caitanya-krishna pūrna bhagavān
yuga-dharma-pravartana nahe tāńra kāma
SYNONYMS
ei — this; vāńchā — desire; yaiche — just as; krishna — of Lord Krishna; prākatya — for the manifestation; kārana — reason; asura-samhāra — the killing of demons; ānushańga — secondary; prayojana — reason; ei mata — like this; caitanya — as Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu; krishna — Lord Krishna; pūrna — full; bhagavān — the Supreme Personality of Godhead; yuga-dharma — the religion of the age; pravartana — initiating; nahe — is not; tāńra — of Him; kāma — the desire.
TRANSLATION
Just as these desires are the fundamental reason for Krishna's appearance whereas destroying the demons is only an incidental necessity, so for Śrī Krishna Caitanya, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, promulgating the dharma of the age is incidental.
