sureśānām durgam gatir atiśayenopanishadām
munīnām sarva-svam pranata-patalīnām madhurimā
viniryāsah premno nikhila-paśu-pālāmbuja-driśām
sa caitanyah kim me punar api driśor yāsyati padam
SYNONYMS
sura-īśānām — of the kings of the demigods; durgam — fortress; gatih — the goal; atiśayena — eminently; upanishadām — of the Upanishads; munīnām — of the sages; sarva-svam — the be-all and end-all; pranata-patalīnām — of the groups of the devotees; madhurimā — the sweetness; viniryāsah — the essence; premnah — of love; nikhila — all; paśu-pālā — of the cowherd women; ambuja-driśām — lotus-eyed; sah — He; caitanyah — Lord Caitanya; kim — what; me — my; punah — again; api — certainly; driśoh — of the two eyes; yāsyati — will come; padam — to the abode.
TRANSLATION
"Lord Caitanya is the shelter of the demigods, the goal of the Upanishads, the be-all and end-all of the great sages, the beautiful shelter of His devotees, and the essence of the love of the lotus-eyed gopīs. Will He again be the object of my vision?"
