puruṣa-nāsāte yabe bāhirāya śvāsa

niśvāsa sahite haya brahmāṇḍa-prakāśa

SYNONYMS

puruṣa-nāsātein the nostrils of the Lord; yabe — when; bāhirāya — expels; śvāsa — breath; niśvāsa sahite — with that exhalation; haya — there is; brahmāṇḍa-prakāśa — manifestation of universes.

TRANSLATION

When the puruṣa exhales, the universes are manifested with each outward breath.
