ei mate pratisūtre karena dūshana

śuni' camatkāra haila sannyāsīra gana

SYNONYMS

ei matein this way; prati-sūtrein each and every aphorism; karena — shows; dūshana — defects; śuniyā — hearing; camatkāra — struck with wonder; haila — they became; sannyāsīra — of all the Māyāvādīs; gana — the group.

TRANSLATION

When Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu thus showed for each and every sūtra the defects in Śańkarācārya's explanations, all the assembled Māyāvādī sannyāsīs were struck with wonder.
