Bhaktivedanta VedaBase: Sri Caitanya Caritamrta Antya 2.24-25

"apane bolana more, iha yadi jani

amara ista-mantra jani' kahena apani

tabe jani, inhate haya caitanya-avese"

eta cinti' sivananda rahila dura-dese

SYNONYMS

apane -- personally; bolana -- calls; more -- me; iha -- this; yadi -- if; jani -- I understand; amara -- my; ista-mantra -- worshipable mantra; jani' -- knowing; kahena apani -- he says himself; tabe jani -- then I shall understand; inhate -- in him; haya -- there is; caitanya-avese -- being possessed by Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu; eta cinti' -- thinking this; sivananda -- Sivananda Sena; rahila -- remained; dura-dese -- a little far off.

TRANSLATION

"If Nakula Brahmacari personally calls me and knows my worshipable mantra, then I shall understand that he is inspired by the presence of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu." Thinking in this way, he stayed some distance apart.
