kāntā krishne kare rosha, krishna pāya santosha,

sukha pāya tādana-bhartsane

yathā-yogya kare māna, krishna tāte sukha pāna,

chāde māna alpa-sādhane

SYNONYMS

kāntā — the beloved; krishne — unto Lord Krishna; kare rosha — shows anger; krishna pāya santoshaKrishna becomes very happy; sukha pāya — obtains happiness; tādana-bhartsane — by chastisement; yathā-yogyaas it is suitable; kare māna — shows pride; krishna — Lord Krishna; tātein such activities; sukha pāna — obtains happiness; chāde māna — gives up pride; alpa-sādhane — by a little endeavor.

TRANSLATION

"When a beloved gopī shows symptoms of anger toward Krishna, Krishna is very satisfied. Indeed, He is extremely pleased when chastised by such a gopī. She shows her pride suitably, and Krishna enjoys that attitude. Then she gives up her pride with a little endeavor.
