'ami jiti', -- ei garva-sunya ha-uka inhara cita
isvara-svabhava, -- karena sabakara hita
SYNONYMS
ami jiti -- let me become victorious; ei -- this; garva -- pride; sunya -- devoid of; ha-uka -- let be; inhara cita -- this person's mind; isvara-svabhava -- the characteristic of the Supreme Personality of Godhead; karena -- He does; sabakara -- of everyone; hita -- benefit.
TRANSLATION
"Being very proud of my learning, I am thinking, 'Let me become victorious.' Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, however, is trying to purify me by nullifying this false pride, for a characteristic of the Supreme Personality of Godhead is that He acts for everyone's welfare.
