yati hana jihva-lampatya -- atyanta anyaya
yatira dharma, -- prana rakhite ahara-matra khaya"
SYNONYMS
yati hana -- being a sannyasi; jihva-lampatya -- indulging in satisfying the tongue; atyanta anyaya -- grievous offense; yatira dharma -- the religious principle of a sannyasi; prana rakhite -- to maintain life; ahara -- food; matra -- only; khaya -- eats.
TRANSLATION
"For a sannyasi to indulge in satisfying the tongue is a great offense. The duty of a sannyasi is to eat only as much as needed to keep body and soul together."
