nityānanda-gosāņire pāthāila gauda-deśe
teńho gauda-deśa bhāsāila prema-rase
SYNONYMS
nityānanda-gosāņire — Nityānanda Gosvāmī; pāthāila — sent; gauda-deśe — to Bengal; teńho — He; gauda-deśa — the tract of land known as Gauda-deśa, or Bengal; bhāsāila — overflooded; prema-rase — with ecstatic love of Krishna.
TRANSLATION
Lord Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu sent Nityānanda Prabhu from Jagannātha Purī to Bengal, which is known as Gauda-deśa, and Lord Nityānanda Prabhu overflooded that country with the transcendental loving service of the Lord.
