tathāpi rākhite tāńre bahu yatna kailuń
īśvarera svatantra icchā, rākhite nāriluń
SYNONYMS
tathāpi — still; rākhite — to keep; tāńre — Him; bahu — various; yatna — endeavors; kailuń — I made; īśvarera — of the Supreme Personality of Godhead; svatantra — independent; icchā — desire; rākhite — to keep; nāriluń — I was unable.
TRANSLATION
"Still, I endeavored very hard to keep Him here, but because He is the Supreme Personality of Godhead and completely independent, I was not successful."
