sarvāńge prasveda chuṭe tāte raktodgama

'jaja gaga' 'jaja gaga' — gadgada-vacana

SYNONYMS

sarvāńge — all over the body; prasveda — perspiration; chuṭe — flows; tāte — along with it; rakta-udgama — oozing out of blood; jaja gaga jaja gagaa sound indicating the name Jagannātha; gadgada — choked up due to ecstasy; vacana — words.

TRANSLATION

Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu's whole body flowed with perspiration and at the same time oozed blood. He made the sounds "jaja gaga, jaja gaga" in a voice choked with ecstasy.
