asru-kampa-svarabhange kahite lagila
SYNONYMS
eta suni' -- hearing this; mahaprabhura -- of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu; citta -- heart; dravila -- became softened; asru -- tears; kampa -- trembling; svara-bhange -- with faltering of the voice; kahite -- to speak; lagila -- began.
TRANSLATION
When Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu heard Vasudeva Datta's statement, His heart became very soft. Tears flowed from His eyes, and He began to tremble. In a faltering voice He spoke as follows.
