mathurā-nikaṭe āilā — mathurā dekhiyā

daṇḍavat hañā paḍe premāviṣṭa hañā

SYNONYMS

mathurā-nikaṭe — near Mathurā; āilā — came; mathurā dekhiyā — seeing the city of Mathurā; daṇḍavat hañā — offering obeisances; paḍe — falls down; prema-āviṣṭa hañāin the great ecstasy of love.

TRANSLATION

When He approached Mathurā and saw the city, He immediately fell to the ground and offered obeisances with great ecstatic love.
