nirjana-vane cale prabhu kṛṣṇa-nāma lañā

hasti-vyāghra patha chāḍe prabhure dekhiyā

SYNONYMS

nirjana-vanein a solitary forest; cale — walks; prabhuŚrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu; kṛṣṇa-nāma lañā — chanting the holy name of Kṛṣṇa; hasti — elephants; vyāghra — tigers; patha chāḍe — leave the path; prabhureŚrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu; dekhiyā — seeing.

TRANSLATION

When the Lord passed through the solitary forest chanting the holy name of Kṛṣṇa, the tigers and elephants, seeing Him, gave way.
