SYNONYMS

kalena -- in the course of time; vrindavana-keli-varta -- topics concerning the transcendental mellows of the pastimes of Lord Krishna in Vrindavana; lupta -- almost lost; iti -- thus; tam -- all those; khyapayitum -- to enunciate; visishya -- making specific; kripa-amritena -- with the nectar of mercy; abhishisheca -- sprinkled; devah -- the Lord; tatra -- there, in Vrindavana; eva -- indeed; rupam -- Srila Rupa Gosvami; ca -- and; sanatanam -- Sanatana Gosvami; ca -- as well as.

TRANSLATION

"In the course of time, the transcendental news of Krishna's pastimes in Vrindavana was almost lost. To enunciate explicitly those transcendental pastimes, Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu empowered Srila Rupa Gosvami and Sanatana Gosvami with the nectar of His mercy to carry out this work in Vrindavana."
