daivī hy eshā guna-mayī

mama māyā duratyayā

mām eva ye prapadyante

māyām etām taranti te

SYNONYMS

daivī — belonging to the Supreme Lord; hi — certainly; eshā — this; guna-mayīmade of the three modes; mama — My; māyā — external energy; duratyayā — very difficult to surpass; mām — unto Me; eva — certainly; ye — those who; prapadyante — surrender fully; māyām — illusory energy; etām — this; taranti — cross over; te — they.

TRANSLATION

"'This divine energy of Mine, consisting of the three modes of material nature, is difficult to overcome. But those who have surrendered unto Me can easily cross beyond it.'
