sattva-guna drashtā, tāte guna-māyā-pāra
SYNONYMS
pālana-artha — for maintenance; svāmśa — personal plenary expansion; vishnu-rūpe — in the form of Lord Vishnu; avatāra — incarnation; sattva-guna — of the mode of goodness; drashtā — director; tāte — therefore; guna-māyā-pāra — transcendental to the material modes of nature.
TRANSLATION
"For the maintenance of the universe, Lord Krishna descends as His personal plenary expansion in the form of Vishnu. He is the director of the mode of goodness; therefore He is transcendental to the material energy.
