bhāgavatārambhe vyāsa mańgalācarane
'parameśvara' nirūpila ei dui lakshane
SYNONYMS
bhāgavata-ārambhe — in the beginning of Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam; vyāsa — the great author Vyāsadeva; mańgala-ācarane — in the auspicious invocation; parama-īśvara — the Supreme Personality of Godhead; nirūpila — has described; ei dui lakshane — by these two characteristics, namely svarūpa (personal) and tatastha (marginal) symptoms.
TRANSLATION
"In the auspicious invocation at the beginning of Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, Śrīla Vyāsadeva has described the Supreme Personality of Godhead by these symptoms.
