kṛṣṇa-svarūpa-mādhuryaiś-

varya-bhakti-rasāśrayam

tattvaḿ sanātanāyeśaḥ

kṛpayopadideśa saḥ

SYNONYMS

kṛṣṇa-svarūpa — of the real identity of Śrī Kṛṣṇa; mādhurya — of conjugal love; aiśvarya — of opulence; bhakti — of devotional service; rasa — of transcendental mellows; āśrayam — the shelter; tattvam — the truth; sanātanāya — unto Śrī Sanātana; īśaḥŚrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu, the Supreme Lord; kṛpayā — by His causeless mercy; upadideśa — instructed; saḥHe.

TRANSLATION

Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, personally told Sanātana Gosvāmī about Lord Kṛṣṇa's real identity. He also told him about the Lord's conjugal love, His personal opulence and the mellows of devotional service. All these truths were explained to Sanātana Gosvāmī by the Lord Himself out of His causeless mercy.
