kāśīte grāhaka nāhi, vastu nā vikāya

punarapi deśe vahi' laoyā nāhi yāya

SYNONYMS

kāśītein Kāśī (Benares); grāhaka nāhi — there was no customer; vastu vikāyait was not selling; punarapi — again; deśeto My own country; vahi' — carrying (it); laoyāto take; nāhi yāya — was not possible.

TRANSLATION

"Although I came to Vārāṇasī to sell My goods, there were no customers, and it appeared necessary for Me to carry them back to My own country.
