keśa nā dekhiyā bhakta yadyapi pāya duḥkha

saundarya dekhite tabu pāya mahā-sukha

SYNONYMS

keśa — hair; dekhiyā — not seeing; bhakta — the devotees; yadyapi — although; pāya — get; duḥkha — unhappiness; saundarya — the beautiful posture; dekhiteto see; tabu — still; pāya — get; mahā-sukha — great happiness.

TRANSLATION

Although the devotees were unhappy at not seeing the Lord's hair, they nonetheless derived great happiness from seeing His beauty.
