nija-dhana dite nishedhibe kon jana

SYNONYMS

bada-vipra kahe — the elderly brāhmana says; kanyā — the daughter; mora — my; nija-dhana — own property; nija-dhana — one's own property; diteto give; nishedhibe — will object; kon — what; jana — person.

TRANSLATION

The elderly brāhmana said, "My daughter is my own property. If I choose to give my property to someone, who has the power to stop me?
