bhāgavatera — from Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam; brahma-stavera — of the prayers of Lord Brahmā; śloka — a verse; padilā — recited; śloka-śeshe — at the end of the verse; dui akshara — of two syllables; pātha — the reading; phirāilā — changed.
TRANSLATION
He began to quote one of Lord Brahmā's prayers from Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, but he changed two syllables at the end of the verse.
