ei-mata paramparāya deśa 'vaishnava' haila
krishna-nāmāmrita-vanyāya deśa bhāsāila
SYNONYMS
ei-mata — in this way; paramparāya — by disciplic succession; deśa — the country; vaishnava haila — became devotees; krishna-nāma-amrita — of the nectar of the holy name of Krishna; vanyāya — in the inundation; deśa — the whole country; bhāsāila — overflooded.
TRANSLATION
By hearing the holy name of Krishna, the entire country became Vaishnava. It was as if the nectar of the holy name of Krishna overflooded the entire country.
