'kūrma'-nāme sei grāme vaidika brāhmaṇa

bahu śraddhā-bhaktye kaila prabhura nimantraṇa

SYNONYMS

kūrma-nāme — of the name Kūrma; sei — that; grāmein the village; vaidika brāhmaṇaa Vedic brāhmaṇa; bahu — much; śraddhā-bhaktye — with faith and devotion; kailamade; prabhura — of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu; nimantraṇa — invitation.

TRANSLATION

In one village there was a Vedic brāhmaṇa named Kūrma. He invited Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu to his home with great respect and devotion.
