caitanya-līlāra ādi-anta nāhi jāni

sei likhi, yei mahāntera mukhe śuni

SYNONYMS

caitanya-līlāra — of the pastimes of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu; ādi — beginning; anta — and end; nāhi — not; jāniI know; sei — that; likhiI write; yei — which; mahāntera — of the great personalities; mukhe — from the mouths; śuniI hear.

TRANSLATION

I admit that I do not know the beginning or the end of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu's pastimes. However, whatever I have written I have heard from the mouths of great personalities.
