bhakta-gana upavāsī tāhāńi rahilā
āra dine duhkhī hańā nīlācale āilā
SYNONYMS
bhakta-gana — the devotees; upavāsī — fasting; tāhāńi — there; rahilā — remained; āra dine — on the next day; duhkhī — unhappy; hańā — becoming; nīlācale — to Jagannātha Purī; āilā — returned.
TRANSLATION
All the devotees remained there and fasted, and the next day they all unhappily returned to Jagannātha Purī.
