śrī-vaishnava' bhatta seve lakshmī-nārāyana
tāńra bhakti dekhi' prabhura tushta haila mana
SYNONYMS
śrī-vaishnava — a devotee of the Rāmānuja-sampradāya; bhatta — Veńkata Bhatta; seve — used to worship; lakshmī-nārāyana — the Deities of Lord Nārāyana and the goddess of fortune, Lakshmī; tāńra — his; bhakti — devotion; dekhi' — seeing; prabhura — of Lord Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu; tushta — happy; haila — became; mana — the mind.
TRANSLATION
Being a Vaishnava in the Rāmānuja-sampradāya, Veńkata Bhatta worshiped the Deities of Lakshmī and Nārāyana. Seeing his pure devotion, Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu was very satisfied.
