prabhu kahe, — dosha nāhi, ihā āmi jāni
rāsa nā pāila lakshmī, śāstre ihā śuni
SYNONYMS
prabhu kahe — the Lord replied; dosha nāhi — there is no fault; ihā āmi jāni — this I know; rāsa nā pāila lakshmī — Lakshmī, the goddess of fortune, could not join the rāsa dance; śāstre ihā śuni — we get this information from revealed scriptures.
TRANSLATION
Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu replied, "I know that there is no fault on the part of the goddess of fortune, but still she could not enter into the rāsa dance. We hear this from the revealed scriptures.
