īśvarera līlākoti-samudra-gambhīra

SYNONYMS

āmi jīvaI am an ordinary living being; kshudra-buddhi — possessing limited intelligence; sahaje asthira — very easily agitated; īśvarera līlā — the pastimes of the Lord; koti-samudraas millions of oceans; gambhīraas deep.

TRANSLATION

Veńkata Bhatta then said, "I am an ordinary human being. Since my intelligence is very limited and I am easily agitated, my mind cannot enter within the deep ocean of the pastimes of the Lord.
