lakshmī cāhe sei dehe krishnera sańgama
gopikā-anugā hańā nā kaila bhajana
SYNONYMS
lakshmī — the goddess of fortune; cāhe — wants; sei — that; dehe — in the body; krishnera sańgama — the association of Krishna; gopikā — of the gopīs; anugā — follower; hańā — becoming; nā — did not; kaila — perform; bhajana — worship.
TRANSLATION
"The goddess of fortune, Lakshmī, wanted to enjoy Krishna and at the same time retain her spiritual body in the form of Lakshmī. However, she did not follow in the footsteps of the gopīs in her worship of Krishna.
