sītā lańā rākhilena pārvatīra sthāne
'māyā-sītā' diyā agni vańcilā rāvane
SYNONYMS
sītā lańā — taking away mother Sītā; rākhilena — kept; pārvatīra sthāne — with mother Pārvatī, or goddess Durgā; māyā-sītā — the false, illusory form of Sītā; diyā — delivering; agni — fire-god; vańcilā — cheated; rāvane — the demon Rāvana.
TRANSLATION
The fire-god, Agni, took away the real Sītā and brought her to the place of Pārvatī, goddess Durgā. An illusory form of mother Sītā was then delivered to Rāvana, and in this way Rāvana was cheated.
