keśe dhari' vipre lańā karila gamana

SYNONYMS

bhattathāri-ghare — at the home of the Bhattathāris; mahā — great; uthila — there arose; krandana — crying; keśe dhari' — catching by the hair; vipre — the brāhmana Krishnadāsa; lańā — taking; karila — did; gamana — departure.

TRANSLATION

While there was much roaring and crying at the Bhattathāri community, Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu grabbed Krishnadāsa by the hair and took him away.
