paraḿ brahma dui-nāma samāna ha-ila

punaḥ āra śāstre kichu viśeṣa pāila

SYNONYMS

param brahma — the Absolute Truth; dui-nāma — two names (Rāma and Kṛṣṇa); samāna — on an equal level; ha-ila — were; punaḥ — again; āra — further; śāstrein revealed scriptures; kichu — some; viśeṣa — specification; pāila — is found.

TRANSLATION

"As far as the holy names of Rāma and Kṛṣṇa are concerned, they are on an equal level, but for further advancement we receive some specific information from the revealed scriptures.
