vishnu-kāńcī āsi' dekhila lakshmī-nārāyana
pranāma kariyā kaila bahuta stavana
SYNONYMS
vishnu-kāńcī — to the holy place named Vishnu-kāńcī; āsi' — coming; dekhila — the Lord saw; lakshmī-nārāyana — the Deity of Lord Nārāyana with mother Lakshmī, the goddess of fortune; pranāma kariyā — after offering obeisances; kaila — made; bahuta stavana — many prayers.
TRANSLATION
The Lord then visited a holy place known as Vishnu-kāńcī. There He saw Lakshmī-Nārāyana Deities, and He offered His respects and many prayers to please Them.
PURPORT
Vishnu-kāńcī is situated about five miles away from Kāńcīpuram. It is here that Lord Varadarāja, another form of Lord Vishnu, resides. There is also a big lake known as Ananta-sarovara.
