tatraikovāca he gopā

dāvāgnim paśyatolbanam

cakshūmshy āśv apidadhvam vo

vidhāsye kshemam añjasā

SYNONYMS

tatra — there; ekā — one of them; uvāca — said; he gopāh — O cowherd boys; dāva-agnim — the forest fire; paśyata — see; ulbanam — fierce: cakshūmshi — your eyes; āśu — quickly; apidadhvam — just close; vah — your; vidhāsye — I will arrange; kshemam — protection; añjasā — with ease.

TRANSLATION

Then another gopī spoke up: My dear cowherd boys, look al this raging forest fire! Quickly close your eyes and I will easily protect you.
