drishto vah kaccid aśvattha

plaksha nyagrodha no manah

nanda-sūnur gato hritvā

prema-hāsāvalokanaih

SYNONYMS

drishtah — has been seen; vah — by you; kaccit — whether; aśvatthaO aśvattha (holy fig tree); plakshaO plaksha (waved-leaf fig tree); nyagrodhaO nyagrodha(banyan tree); nah — our; manah — minds; nanda — of Mahārāja Nanda; sūnuh — the son; gatah — has gone away; hritvā — after stealing; prema — loving; hāsa — with His smiles; avalokanaih — and glances.

TRANSLATION

[The gopīs said:] O aśvattha tree, O plaksha, O nyagrodha, have you seen Krishna? That son of Nanda Mahārāja has gone away after stealing our minds with His loving smiles and glances.
