nrityatī gāyatī kācit

kūjan nūpura-mekhalā

pārśva-sthācyuta-hastābjam

śrāntādhāt stanayoh śivam

SYNONYMS

nrityatī — dancing; gāyatī — singing; kācita certain gopī; kūjan — murmuring; nūpura — her ankle bells; mekhalā — and her belt; pārśva-stha — standing at her side; acyuta — of Lord Krishna; hasta-abjam — the lotus hand; śrāntā — feeling tired; adhāt — placed; stanayoh — upon her breasts; śivam — pleasing.

TRANSLATION

Another gopī became fatigued as she danced and sang, the bells on her ankles and waist tinkling. So she placed upon her breasts the comforting lotus hand of Lord Acyuta, who was standing by her side.
