krishnasya vadanambujam

vikshyatam srama-vary-uptam

padma-kosam ivambubhih

SYNONYMS

valgatah -- leaping; satrum -- of His enemy; abhitah -- on all sides; krishnasya -- of Krishna; vadana -- the face; ambujam -- lotuslike; vikshyatam -- you should see; srama -- of fatigue; vari -- with the moisture; uptam -- covered; padma -- of a lotus flower; kosam -- the whorl; iva -- like; ambubhih -- with droplets of water.

TRANSLATION

Just see the lotus face of Krishna as He darts around His foe! That face, covered with drops of perspiration brought on by the strenuous fight, resembles a lotus covered with dew.
