jñātvātmānam adhokshajam
SYNONYMS
śrī-śukah uvāca — Śrī Śukadeva Gosvāmī said; tatah — then; tāh — they; krishna-sandeśaih — by the messages from Krishna; vyapeta — removed; viraha — of their separation; jvarāh — the fever; uddhavam — Uddhava; pūjayām cakruh — worshiped; jñātvā — recognizing him; ātmānam — Himself; adhokshajam — as the Supreme Lord.
TRANSLATION
Śukadeva Gosvāmī continued: Lord Krishna's messages having relieved their fever of separation, the gopīs then worshiped Uddhava, recognizing him as nondifferent from their Lord, Krishna.
PURPORT
Śrīla Śrīdhara Svāmī states that the words jñatvātmānam adhokshajam also indicate that the gopīs recognize Lord Krishna to be the very soul of their lives and thus spiritually one with them.
