SYNONYMS

asadya -- reaching; devi -- of the goddess; sadanam -- the residence; dhauta -- washing; pada -- her feet; kara -- and hands; ambuja -- lotuslike; upasprsya -- sipping water for purification; sucih -- sanctified; santa -- peaceful; pravivesa -- she entered; ambika-antikam -- the presence of Ambika.

TRANSLATION

Upon reaching the goddess's temple, Rukmini first washed her lotus feet and hands and then sipped water for purification. Thus sanctified and peaceful, she came into the presence of mother Ambika.
