arhaniyam samarhanaih

SYNONYMS

tam -- Him, Lord Balarama; drstva -- seeing; sahasa -- immediately; utthaya -- rising; maithilah -- the King of Mithila; prita-manasah -- feeling affection; arhayam asa -- he honored Him; vidhi-vat -- in accordance with scriptural injunctions; arhaniyam -- worshipable; samarhanaih -- with elaborate paraphernalia of worship.

TRANSLATION

The King of Mithila immediately rose from his seat when he saw Lord Balarama approaching. With great love the King honored the supremely worshipable Lord by offering Him elaborate worship, as stipulated by scriptural injunctions.
