SYNONYMS
rama rama -- O Rama, Rama; maha-baho -- O mighty-armed one; na jane -- I do not appreciate; tava -- Your; vikramam -- prowess; yasya -- whose; eka -- one; amsena -- by a portion; vidhrta -- is sustained; jagati -- the earth; jagatah -- of the universe; pate -- O master.
TRANSLATION
[Goddess Yamuna said:] Rama, Rama, O mighty-armed one! I know nothing of Your prowess. With a single portion of Yourself You hold up the earth, O Lord of the universe.
PURPORT
The phrase ekamsena ("with a single portion") refers to the Lord's expansion as Sesa. This is confirmed by the acaryas.
