adyāpi dṛśyate rājan

yamunākṛṣṭa-vartmanā

balasyānanta-vīryasya

vīryaḿ sūcayatīva hi

SYNONYMS

adya — today; api — even; dṛśyate — is seen; rājanO King (Parīkṣit); yamunā — the Yamunā River; ākṛṣṭa — pulled; vartmanā — whose currents; balasya — of Lord Balarāma; ananta — unlimited; vīryasya — whose potency; vīryam — the prowess; sūcayatī — indicating; ivaas; hi — indeed.

TRANSLATION

Even today, O King, one can see how the Yamunā flows through the many channels created when it was dragged by the unlimitedly powerful Lord Balarāma. Thus she demonstrates His prowess.
