harsayantah sva-suhrdo

durhrdam casukhavahah

SYNONYMS

gatva -- arriving; te -- they; khandava-prastham -- at Indraprastha; sankhan -- their conchshells; dadhmuh -- blew; jita -- having defeated; arayah -- their enemy; harsayantah -- delighting; sva -- their; suhrdah -- well-wishers; durhrdam -- to their enemies; ca -- and; asukha -- displeasure; avahah -- bringing.

TRANSLATION

When they arrived at Indraprastha, the victorious heroes blew their conchshells, bringing joy to their well-wishing friends and sorrow to their enemies.
