|Canto 10: The Summum Bonum||Chapter 78: The Killing of Dantavakra, Vidūratha and Romaharṣaṇa|
Bhaktivedanta VedaBase: Śrīmad Bhāgavatam 10.78.7
evaḿ rūkṣais tudan vākyaiḥ
kṛṣṇaḿ totrair iva dvipam
siḿha-vad vyanadac ca saḥ
evam — thus; rūkṣaiḥ — harsh; tudan — harassing; vākyaiḥ — with words; kṛṣṇam — Lord Kṛṣṇa; totraiḥ — with goads; iva — as if; dvipam — an elephant; gadayā — with his club; atāḍayat — he struck Him; mūrdhni — on the head; siḿha-vat — like a lion; vyanadat — roared; ca — and; saḥ — he.
Thus trying to harass Lord Kṛṣṇa with harsh words, as one might prick an elephant with sharp goads, Dantavakra struck the Lord on the head with his club and roared like a lion.
